How Italian Certified Translation Works

Unlike some countries where any translator can certify, Italy requires registration with the Albo dei Consulenti Tecnici d'Ufficio (CTU) of a competent Tribunale. The translator physically goes to the court, swears an oath ("giuro di aver bene e fedelmente tradotto"), and the translation is bound together with the original document. The court clerk (Cancelliere) signs and stamps everything.

Apostille Available

If your certified translation needs to be used outside Italy, we arrange the Apostille through the Procura della Repubblica or Prefettura di Caserta, depending on the document type. The Apostille confirms that the translation and certification are genuine under the Hague Convention.
